PUNTO ALMANA
PUNTO ALMANA

Located to the east of the town of Sale Marasino, Punta Almana stands as a natural watershed between Lake Iseo, Inzino and Trompia valleys.

Although located at a not too high altitude, Punta Almana offers great views of the nearby peaks (Guglielmo and Trentapassi), the Orobie, the Adamello, the mountains surrounding the Val Trompia and the Brescia Prealps in general, as well as being a privileged balcony on Monte Isola and all over Lake Iseo.

The trail starts from the town of Zone, where you park the car before starting the route. The first part corresponds to an unpaved road and you will find the first indications for the ascent to the Monte Guglielmo. The route continues in the Bosco degli Gnomi, where you can admire wooden sculptures positioned along the itinerary. You will then find yourself at a crossroads (227-227A), and you can choose one of the two alternatives (227A passes towards the woods and allows you to save some time, even though it is more steep). You will reach the Casentiga hut ( about 1400 m), where there is a fountain to stock up on water. From this point the route continues on a narrow but not difficult path overstepping a lawn, another water point and the Palmarusso di Sotto hut. Continue up to Pozza del Culmet and then to the Almici Refuge. The last stretch of the path goes up to the summit of Monte Guglielmo, wherethe monument of the Redeemer is located.

CORNA TRENTAPASSI
CORNA TRENTAPASSI
CORNA TRENTAPASSI

Spectacular itinerary that allows you to admire Lake Iseo, Camonica Valley and the top of Monte Guglielmo from above while experiencing unique sensations.
Once you have parked the car, walk along via Marcolano out of Zone. Follow the appropriate signs indicating “Corna Trentapassi” until you arrive at the paved and cobbled road. The stretch then becomes earthy and well beaten and, after some hairpin bends, you will reach the Forcella Occidentale Trentapassi. The signs indicate Corna Trentapassi on the left while Croce di Zone on the right. Keep to the left and start an uphill stretch between small shrubs. Then, once you have come out, you will see the Corna Trentapassi, marked by the iron cross and Lake Iseo on the right. Continue uphill following trail sign 205, ignoring the path that goes straight up towards the Corna Trentapassi . At the Forcella del Zuf, the path bends to the right and the most spectacular stretch of the entire route begins. Continue uphill towards the Anticima Est of the Corna Trentapassi, from which you can enjoy a vast panorama. Facing the last uphill stretch, the path climbs on the left remaining more internal than the ridge and it is not dangerous. In all tranquility you will then reach the top of Corna Trentapassi.

MONTE ALTO
MONTE ALTO
MONTE ALTO

Easy itinerary that leads to the top of Monte Alto, the mountain that dominates Franciacorta and lower Lake Iseo.
The route starts from via Gorizia in Paratico. Once you reach the traffic lights, cross the road and continue straight on via Biancana; the initially asphalted road becomes dirt and after a farm it turns right uphill. After passing the barrier necessary to prevent motorized vehicles from entering, continue uphill to the Alpini di Capriolo Church, which you leave on the right to continue along the dirt road between the huts on the left. The mule track runs along the ridge and then enters the woods. At the crossroads, continue straight next to a large tree adorned with a small votive shrine. The mule track with a dirt surface and at times on clay continues passing next to a cave, the “Bus della Laga”  and arrives at “Lo Stallone” in Adro, with a stone farmhouse and meadows and a picnic area. Following the directions, keep left and in a few minutes you reach the top of Monte Alto from which you can admire the Franciacorta area, the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve and, continuing a few meters after the flag, also Lake Iseo.
The route has no signs on the way, therefore it is advisable to use and follow the path as shown.

MONTE BOARIO

From Fonteno, a ring towards the top of Monte Boario, to get plenty of views of the mountains surrounding Lake Iseo, Adamello, and Presolana.
The trail to follow is CAI path n. 568-direction Monte Boario. The red and white signs indicate the climb to the church and follow the steep Via Tasso with wide views of the lake. The paved road becomes then cemented up to the large terrace of a farmstead. Shortly after, the road reaches the locality of Font, where the road turns into a path. Following the signs, go up to the right into a deciduous forest. Keep to the right, following the 568/A trail and continue uphill until you reach the wide wooded ridge, in the locality Colle di Luen. Near a ruin, you come to another crossroads, where you keep to the left following the signs.

Once out of the woods, a vast panorama is shown, with the Presolana on the right, the Valle Camonica with the peaks of Adamello in the North. You climb up a steep slope, sinking your boots into the dry grass of the pasture, until you reach a farmstead guarded by two imposing trees. After passing the rural building, the slope softens and in ten minutes you reach a pleasant birch grove that surrounds a picnic area hosting the “Santella del Boèr”, behind which the track reaches a crossroads. Here you keep left for the summit and after a steep and decisive stretch in the woods you reach a concrete parallelepiped in which, until not long ago, was raised a rustic wooden cross that signaled the most panoramic point in the immediate vicinity of the summit of Monte Boario. From here the show is remarkable, especially towards the lake, the Corna Trentapassi and the Valle Camonica.
